DESCRIPTION:Great Mountain Forest is pleased to cohost a Faith Takes Flight bird walk on May 30 in partnership with the Connecticut Land Conservation Council, Interreligious Eco-Justice Network, Norfolk Land Trust, Norfolk United Church of Christ Green Team and Sierra Club CT. We hope you’ll join us for this engaging and seasonal exploration of birds and their habitats. This is one of the best times of year for birding, many species are establishing territories, singing frequently, and beginning to nest, which makes them easier to see and hear.\nWe’ll begin at Tamarack Pond, where we can observe birds that thrive in wetland and pond-edge habitats. From there, we’ll continue into the forest to look and listen for a variety of woodland birds.\nThis walk offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the diversity of birdlife across different habitats and to enjoy the sights and sounds of late spring in the forest.\nWhat to bring:\n\nBinoculars (if you have them)\nWater and snacks\nSturdy walking shoes\nDress for the weather\nBug/tick protection\n\nWe hope you’ll join us for this engaging and seasonal exploration of birds and their habitats.\n
