Woodland Academy

The GMF Woodland Academy offers workshops for forest owners (individuals, nonprofits, municipalities) to understand, steward, and sustainably use their land. Participants learn about ecosystem processes (e.g., fungal networks), interpretive skills (e.g., tree ID), management practices (e.g., climate smart stewardship), and sustainable uses (e.g., wood products or ecotourism). Workshops support professional continuing education, and foster partnerships among participants, creating a more connected regional forest community.
